In 2006 Me and my band decided to go to America. Everyone else wanted to go but they all decided to wait for the big 'record deal' the big tour or for someone to say 'hey fellas, come on over and we will do it all for you'
They never went!
We bought tickets, flew to Memphis and toured across the USA for 3 months! This pretty much sums up the SUPERHERO ( my band ) philosophy on how to do stuff and it has served us well over the years.
We returned many times, played 173 shows across 31 different states to over 30,000 people.
We met so many incredible people during that time in our lives and a good number of them are my closest friends today.
These were amazing times, together with my brothers. We saw and did some amazing things, we travelled the length and breadth of America and did what we always wanted to do. How? We just did it!
My advice to you this blog: Stop waiting.......
Now a new challenge. Working in 14 different countries in Central and Eastern Europe with Josiah Venture as well as my own country Scotland. Expanding the amazing Exit Tour into some dark places taking light and life with us. Mobilizing amazing talented musicians and adventureres to come on this journey with us.
Back in the USA.....this time with my awesome family. Sue, Skye, Fin and Joel. Different people, same philosophy. We have decided not to wait....we are going, actually we are here : ) and we will keep making the choice to step out of the boat and run after our dreams.
